Gratitude Boost

This weekend Christian’s celebrate our greatest gift Jesus Christ.   During our church’s Good Friday service, I thanked God for the sacrifice he made.  I also realized there are so many reasons to be thankful.

When one has to deal with multiple illnesses it is difficult to be positive. I have learned having a positive outlook can boost your mood yielding positive results. When I feel overwhelmed by my illnesses, I try to list all the good things I have: a loving family, a church family, a caring husband, a home, food, medical care, clothing, a cute dog. This reminds me that my struggles are really not so bad.

When at the bookstore recently I found a Gratitude journal. I think this is a great way to keep track of the good things that happen in your life. Write down each day the things you are grateful for. When you are feeling down, read your journal to give you a boost of happiness.
