Trying New Experiences = Lower Stress

I enjoy doing craft related things such as scrapbooking and making cards but never tried painting or drawing. During a therapy session, my therapist introduced me to watercolor painting.  I had never done this before and I think I am terrible at drawing.  I have found it to be very relaxing and calming and I am more artistic than I think!   This has also encouraged me to take an acrylic painting class.  It was so much fun!  Painting takes my mind off the daily struggles of life and gives me a sense of accomplishment.  Trying something different can give you a new hobby and broaden your experiences while giving your mind a break!
